Over 5,000 years ago Lord Krishna spoke Bhagavad-Gita to Arjuna and on Saturday & Sunday December 10 th & 11th we will be observing this auspicious occasion.

This Day is Known as "Gita Jayanti"

(advent of Bhagavad-Gita)

 

Those most sacred words that Lord Krishna spoke on that auspicious day some 5,000 years ago are available today in the form of Bhagavad-Gita As It Is by His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

 

This is the most authorized and popular edition of Bhagavad-Gita throughout the whole world.

 

"And I declare that he who studies this sacred conversation of ours worships Me by his intelligence." BG 18:70

 

A special fire yajna (sacrifice) will be performed and for those who sponsor Gitas, their name will be chanted as pure ghee is offered to the sacred fire.

Srila Prabhupada's desire was to have books in every home throughout the world.
