His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami

 

His Holiness Gopal Krishna Maharaja is a direct disciple of His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.

 

He appeared  on August 14, 1944 on Ekadasi, in New Delhi, India. 

 

After graduating from the Delhi University, he studied at the University of Sorbonne in Paris and later obtained his Master's degree from McGill University in Montreal.

 

It was in Montreal in 1968 where His Holiness met His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Srila Prabhupa and became his duly initiated Disciple and became fully involved serving him.

Later Srila Prabhupada sent him to India after he personally traveled and served him as his direct secretary in 1975.

 

In 1982, His Holiness took sannayasa, the vedic order of renunciation.

His Holiness is presently GBC (Governing Body Commissioner) of many countries throughout the world including parts of Russia, America, Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa, and India and has many disciples world wide.

His Holiness is actively spearheading and involved with many of ISKCON projects globally.

 

On the auspicious day of Ram Navami in 1998, His Holiness successfully completed and 

opened the GLORY OF INDIA temple complex in New Delhi, India.

This was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India, Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
