As has been a tradition here in Vancouver for our Gaura Purnima festival, (the appearance of Lord Chaitanya), we also observe the celebration of Holi.

As Sri Sri Gaura Nitai are being prepared for their abhisheka (auspicious bathing ceremony), Another manifestation of Their Lordships ascend a palanquin as devotees take them on a harinam procession around the temple grounds.

Inside the temple room the spiritual world is also manifest with the auspicious bathing of Their Lordships.

 

 



Starting at 6:30 pm the evening portion of the festival begins with the Gaura Arati to their Lordships. Sri Sri Gaura Nitai and the main temple Deities of Sri Sri Radha Madana Mohan. All the temple Deities radiate being adorned in a new set of clothes bedecked with glistening jewels.

Moving on their palanquin the full moon shining brightly in the background and the roaring sound of drums, cymbals and the chanting of many Gaura Bhakta's, all present will be transformed to the spiritual world.
